Biology is our only grad program on campus that has a thesis and we are
typically at around 20 students in the program so the Biology Graduate
Coordinator submits all thesis research grades (S, U, or I). However,
students that schedule thesis research have to write a summary of what they
did for their "thesis research" each time they schedule hours so that we
have a record to assign their grade. Also, the major professor for each
student can let the grad coordinator know if the student did not complete
thesis research for the assigned semester and the grad coordinator can
assign a U or I if the major professor requests.
