Good morning, all. As a NWCA accredited institution, we would recognize the awarded degree, but be unable to give any transfer credit due to the narrative evaluation system they use. However, their website indicates that their records division will work with Graduate Schools to articulate the credit as needed. Likewise, I have a friend who works at Evergreen, and she indicated that the Dean typically prepares a grade point transcript when requested by an institution.

Have you seen academic transcripts from Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA? The College is accredited by Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools.

We are looking at a transcript right now that is 20 pages long and has no grades. The instructor's name is included, along with the course title and the number of credits for the class. There is a page for each course taken with a written assessment by the instructor. Some notes are a paragraph long and others are a page or two in length. Comments include a course description, the strengths of the student, and what they could have done differently. There are also quotes from the student's writing assignments.

The concept is very cool but does not fit in with the traditional grading scales that we use to assess candidates. How do you your Graduate Schools handle such transcripts and assign a GPA to a transcript?
