[La-cgs] LCGS Meeting - April 30 / Update/3MT

Hi all,

After much deliberation your Exec Comm (Greg, Mary, Ramu, Sanjay) has decided that it is best to postpone an in-person meeting to the fall.  Greg has graciously extended his offer to host us on his campus at that time.  Instead, we can still have a virtual meeting like we had last fall.  We are thinking of a 3-hour Zoom meeting on Friday, April 30th. tentatively set from 9 am to 12 pm.

Naturally, we cannot fit in all of our original agenda in three hours.  We do, however, want to hold the 3MT competition.  Please let Mary (mary.farmer-kaiser at lousiana.edu<mailto:mary.farmer-kaiser at lousiana.edu>) know if your campus will be competing and how many students (maximum two) will be competing.   Please respond right away if you can.

With regard to the other agenda items, we can at most accommodate 4 items in four 30-minute blocks.  Please take a look at the original agenda (attached) and suggest what we should include for April 30.

Hi all,

Please mark your calendars for the next meeting of the Louisiana Council of Graduate Schools - April 29 & 30 - on the campus of Northwestern State University.  In the past, we have started with lunch on Thursday and end by noon on Friday.  There will be arrangements for those who would rather attend virtually.  Over the next several weeks we can finalize the format and agenda.  In the meantime, please save the dates.

Special thanks to Greg Handel who graciously agreed to host us on his campus!
