All,
We just had some information from the registrar's office.

Good Afternoon John,

Pre-req override requests will override all Eligibility requirements assigned to a course section. So if there are several requirements (Ex. Cob registration only), when the approval comes through, it will allow that student, regardless of Program, hours, etc. to register because it bypasses all of them.

This being the case, please DO NOT approve any prereq requests from outside the College until after our priority registration is complete (see dates below).

Thank you,

rob

As we prepare for Fall registration next week, this message addresses two key areas:
(1) managing priority registration for current COB students, and
(2) planning for Freshman Orientation (and ensuring their seat reservations).
Priority Registration for COB Students
To ensure COB students have early access to core business classes, the following courses will be restricted to COB majors until 4:00 PM on May 13 (after COB freshmen will have registered). After that, these courses will open to the entire University:

  *
ACCT 2013 (all sections)
  *
ACCT 2023 (all sections)
  *
BLAW 2553 (all sections)
  *
ECON 2013 (all sections)
  *
ECON 2023 (all sections)

The following classes will be opened after Sophomores have registered, thus available at noon on May 12:

  *
CIS 3103 (all sections)
  *
FINC 3183 (all sections)
  *
MGMT 3103 (all sections)
  *
MKTG 3003 (all sections)

Seat Reservations for Incoming COB Freshmen
To accommodate our incoming class during summer orientation, the following course seats have been reserved:

  *
ACCT 2013: 10 seats will be held in each (live) section for incoming COB freshmen
  *
ACCT 2023: 10 seats will be held in each (live) section for incoming COB freshmen
  *
BLAW 2553-001: 72 of 112 seats held for incoming COB freshmen
  *
BLAW 2553-051: 62 of 112 seats held for incoming COB freshmen
  *
BUSN 1103: All seats in all sections reserved for incoming COB freshmen
  *
BUSN 1153-001: 62 of 92 seats held for incoming COB freshmen
  *
CIS 1253: All seats in all sections reserved for incoming COB freshmen
  *
ECON 2013-001 and 2013-002: 60 of 112 seats held in each section for incoming COB freshmen
  *
ECON 2023-001 and 2023-002: 60 of 112 seats held in each section for incoming COB freshmen

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Rob
