[Dba-l] Winter Advising Memo

All,
Attached is the Winter advising memo.  We begin Monday and advise through
Nov. 4th.

Update on the process:
First: Beginning this quarter, instead of the admins sending out individual
emails to each of their students (which can take days), Dr. Nono Gueye has
written a program which will do the job automatically.  We are running said
program Thursday and Friday.  Emails will go the students from my email
address and will include, a) their curriculum sheet, b) the student
advising memo, and c) the Winter advising form.

Second: Once you advise a student, you need (as always) to turn in their
advising form as an excel file.  This is important as Dr. Gueye has written
another program that will take each form and place it in the correct
student folder.  No more tedious work for the admins.  But the form must be
an excel sheet!  If the student tries to give you something else, do not
accept it.  Excel only!
