This is just a starting place—we'll probalby need to expand the checklist items in the second example. In specific classes and on specific assignments, instructors could still establish more stringent standards (e.g., "On ____ assignment, any use of GenAI is
prohibited" or "On ____ assignment, you can use GenAI for prewriting and revision, but not for drafting). But the goal would be to establish a culture of transparency that allows for faculty in still determine what's appropriate in their own fields and courses.</div>
