We have a grad coordinator for each college and a graduate program for each graduate program who takes care of daily business. Each college handles compensation differently. Some provide release time and others, compensation. </div>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">We have five “Directors of Graduate Studies”, one in each college. They are formally known as Associate Deans for Graduate Studies, and they are 12-month employees.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">We also have “graduate program coordinators” for graduate degree programs (they review applications, lead/manage curriculum revisions, etc.). These are typically 9-month faculty. In some colleges (not all)
they may receive some incentives in the form of reduced teaching load and/or professional development funds (for conference travel, purchase of laptops, etc.). The coordinator job is generally viewed as a service activity. Unfortunately, I don’t think we have
any written policies on this – each college does its own thing.</span></p>
