We have program coordinators in each department that make admission decisions once the prospective students go through the general admission process. The program coordinators are not compensated, it is just part of their normal work responsibilities and they
get credit on their annual performance reviews.</div>

<p class="x_x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">We have five “Directors of Graduate Studies”, one in each college. They are formally known as Associate Deans for Graduate Studies, and they are 12-month employees.</span></p>
<p class="x_x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> </span></p>
<p class="x_x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">We also have “graduate program coordinators” for graduate degree programs (they review applications, lead/manage curriculum revisions, etc.). These are typically 9-month faculty. In some colleges (not
all) they may receive some incentives in the form of reduced teaching load and/or professional development funds (for conference travel, purchase of laptops, etc.). The coordinator job is generally viewed as a service activity. Unfortunately, I don’t think
we have any written policies on this – each college does its own thing.</span></p>
