<p class="MsoNormal">This topic, in general, i.e., surveying students, whether by faculty or other students, seems to be a touchy subject in some quarters on our campus. Some don’t want students to get any more emails than they already do, and others, including
some faculty, think that it is long-standing research practice and is good for students.

<p class="MsoNormal">Currently, the practice is for the student or faculty member to send the survey to the Dean of Students along with the IRB approval. The survey is then sent out by that office to the targeted student population (e.g., undergraduates, online
students, etc.).<o:p></o:p></p>
