We allow a one-time deferment as long as the application is no more than a year old. Assistantship requests are up to the program. It all depends on the funding and availability of assistantships at that point in time. No guarantees. </div>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">Sorry to be late in responding. We too allow deferred admissions but it is up to the department to decide if the funding should also be deferred. We do not allow deferrals across academic years. Because of issues between Slate and Workday,
we require a new application each time (no need to upload all the documents). We will waive the application fee for one deferral.</p>
