Not sure if this helps, but we have had issues with no first name. My staff says that we use FNU (first name unknown) in Banner in those instances. We're following up with IT, Registrar, and UG Admissions to see if they have additional guidance. --mfk<br>

last name (required fields), which then becomes the student's permanent record (unless there’s a legal change in name). </span></p>

If we use the first name as a last name, the system rejects it, as the first name field is left empty. Using N/A is not an option as that then becomes the first name. </span><span style="font-size:12pt; color:black"></span></p>
